PROJECT OVERVIEW
K3 was designed as a contemporary co-working destination in Hull, created to support the evolving way people work. The project was developed to provide a flexible workspace environment that moves beyond the traditional office model, offering a variety of working styles including private offices, collaborative areas, hot desking and informal breakout spaces.
DEN Interiors were appointed to create a workplace that felt inspiring, welcoming and people-focused. The aim was to deliver an office environment that encouraged productivity, creativity and wellbeing whilst creating a strong identity for the workspace.
The project focused on creating an environment where people genuinely wanted to spend time, combining functionality with hospitality-inspired design principles.
DESIGN CONCEPT
The concept for K3 was centred around creating a workplace with the comfort and atmosphere of home whilst maintaining the professionalism and functionality expected within a commercial office environment.
The design introduced relaxed breakout spaces, cosy nooks and comfortable furnishings to create a softer working environment that promotes collaboration, wellbeing and creativity. Rather than a traditional corporate office aesthetic, the interior adopted a more residential and hospitality-led approach to support modern working habits.
Different work settings were carefully considered throughout the design to support focused work, meetings, collaboration and informal interaction. Material selections and furniture layouts were chosen to create warmth, flexibility and a welcoming atmosphere.
The overall design creates a destination workplace where employees, entrepreneurs and businesses can work comfortably and effectively.
